NORTH SOUTH CREW will be celebrating their 05th Anniversary in the Pt. Fortin Borough which was the birthplace of our all inclusive jouvert presentations ,our initial year being 2004.

Chocolate City Mas is the premiere Jouvert Experience using no mud, no oil, no paint but liquid / edible / quality chocolate prepared under strict health requirements…This band provides you with your Jouvert Kit and all that falls under the all inclusive banner on the road, drinks, meals , quality sound systems, top acts , security etc….. 

It’s an experience you must try at least once , but second time around it’s twice as nice…..Don’t take our word for it ask any of our masqueraders… 

We can boast of a band 1200 and 1300 members strong for P.O.S. Carnival 2k7 and 2k8 and 500 member strong for Pt. Fortin 2k7.

Entertainment Pioneers Kurty & Chum Chum, once again managed to lure former Point Fortin residents now based in Brooklyn, to come out of their house and have a good time.

This time, the Tropical Paradise Restaurant and Pub in Brooklyn New York was the location where the promotional team held their “Borough Day Send Off Fete”. As usual, the clips were out and at the end everyone had a good time.

Come August this year, Point Fortin people based in USA will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of “Point Day” and this year, a very special person, never present before, whether in person or capacity, is expected to be there.

ROYALTY presents

“BEACH PARTY”

Point Fortin BOROUGH DAY J’OUVERT 2008

On Saturday 3rd May, 2008, Royalty will hit the streets of Point Fortin in grand style as they present “Beach Party” for the borough day j’ouvert competition. This presentation will see masqueraders decked in spectacular beach wear partying with lots of fun and excitement to the sweet sounds of soca.

There are four sections representing cool Caribbean colours such as lime green, orange, royal blue and silver, and turquoise and white. Female masqueraders can choose from the available styles each complimented with beach hat, necklace and wrap, with prices ranging from $275.00 to $325.00. Their male counterpart can choose to go bare chest with shorts, beach chain and cap in the frontline section or don t-shirt and shorts in the remaining sections all for $250.00.

The band will be providing free drinks, breakfast and bandanas as part of their package along with a pre j’ouvert party at the mas camp. Road music will be supplied by Bionic sound company.

Registration for costumes is currently taking place at Royalty’s mas camp located at 9th Street, Techier Village, Point Fortin.

Royalty is the reigning Point Fortin borough day j’ouvert champion having also won in 2005 and placed 2nd in 2006. They hold the title of Point Fortin Carnival band of the year for 2005, 2006, 2007 and in 2008 won the San Fernando Carnival medium band of the year title with their presentation “Jewels of T&T” which they will showcase on the streets of Point Fortin as part of the borough day celebrations.
